L'Dor Vador: from Generation to Generation is a series of figurative glass paintings and prints on paper. Using images of ancient Jewish writings as a metaphor for religious and cultural traditions passed down for thousands of years, I freely adapt glass painting and printmaking techniques which thus become a literal representation of my investigation into tradition and evolution.
Why glass paintings? The answer is light, and the spiritual world it evokes. My paintings inquire visually into the nature of our emotional and spiritual experiences. They seek to understand the inner self and its relationship to the external world. The challenge to illuminate a spirit within the image is what motivates my work.
